Context
Companies need to monitor the health of the covered population, the impact of absenteeism, healthcare costs, occupational risks and the use of health services. Even so, these data are often fragmented across different areas and systems, making an integrated view of corporate health difficult.
Problem addressed
The challenge was not only to build a dashboard, but to create a replicable model. For the BI to be applied at scale, it was necessary to define 1 standard data request, with a minimum data structure, calculation rules and a common analytical organization for different companies.
Project objective
Build a generic BI model for corporate health, capable of receiving data in a standardized format and generating an executive view of covered population, absenteeism, leaves, ambulatory activity, care indicators, safety and medical claims.
Situation
Companies and corporate health teams need to monitor population risk, absenteeism, care utilization, ambulatory activity, medical claims and occupational indicators, but data are often scattered across HR systems, clinics, payers, providers and spreadsheets.
Task
Create a generic, scalable and replicable BI model for corporate health, based on 1 standard data request, capable of integrating different sources and organizing key management indicators.
Action
Structured a Power BI dashboard with executive overview and thematic modules, organizing population, occupational, care and financial data for comparable analysis and continuous monitoring.

The model helps accelerate analytics implementation in corporate health, reduce rework in data consolidation and standardize the interpretation of strategic indicators across different companies.

Population and executive view
The executive layer of the BI organizes a summarized view of corporate health, with indicators such as covered lives, percentage of active population, PMPM cost, high-risk percentage, lost days, days per active employee and other key indicators for quick monitoring.
Absenteeism module
The absenteeism module supports the analysis of lost days, sick note frequency, recency, intensity and employee grouping by absence pattern. It can allow segmentation by risk profile and impact concentration.
Leave module
The leave module organizes leave events, time away, recurrence, operational impact and potential groups with higher vulnerability or follow-up needs.
Ambulatory and care modules
The ambulatory and care modules allow monitoring appointments, utilization profile, service demand, care production and potential opportunities to reorganize care and access.
Medical claims module
The medical claims module supports the monitoring of costs, utilization, spending concentration, potential high-impact groups and opportunities for care and cost management.
Occupational and safety modules
The occupational and safety modules help monitor work-related risks, safety events, possible accidents, compliance and useful indicators for prevention and workplace management.

How the model scales
The main feature of the project is replicability. Based on 1 standard data request, different companies can provide data in a similar structure, allowing the same BI model to be adapted with less implementation effort. This reduces the need to build dashboards from scratch for each client and supports a scalable analytics offer for corporate health.
Limitations and caveats
- BI quality depends on the quality of data provided by the company. - The data request must be completed consistently. - Some companies may have more complete sources than others. - Business rules must be well defined for events, costs and periods. - Comparative indicators depend on minimum source standardization. - The dashboard does not replace data governance or clear target and use definitions.
